Last orders for Christmas: Please note that the cut-off for delivery in time for Christmas is noon on Monday 18th December. Orders placed after this time will be delivered in the New Year. We close for Christmas on 23rd December and reopen on 2nd January.
‘Included Delivery’ applies to standard UK postal areas only. If you are ordering from abroad or the ‘Highlands and Islands’ areas then please contact us for a shipping quote prior to purchase.
We take great care to provide the freshest, traditionally hand-crafted real ale. Rather than keeping a stock of ready made-up polypins, which can affect the freshness and condition of the beer, each polypin is freshly hand-drawn to order which ensures that it reaches you in the best possible condition. Please therefore allow 3 to 4 working days for your order to be prepared and delivered.
If you are ordering beer for the weekend, we recommend that you place the order by the end of the previous Monday to ensure there is enough time for the polypin to be prepared and shipped to you.
Should you be ordering several polypins for a special event such as a party, wedding or other function, we recommend that you e-mail us a fortnight before the event to pre-order in advance. This will allow us to pre-book your beer and schedule in the polypin preparation to ensure they are with you in time.
If you would like the courier to be given any specific instructions you can specify this while making payment. Please note that in cases where the courier is instructed to leave the goods without obtaining a signature (e.g. ‘please leave in garage’), these instructions are accommodated at the sole discretion of the courier and at your own risk as we are unable to process claims for missing deliveries where such instructions are given.
Do bear in mind that polypins of ale are heavy. 20 litres of beer weighs 20kg! Please ensure that you have made adequate arrangements for your beer to be handled safely when it is delivered.
To ensure that the beer arrives with you in top condition we supply the beer with sediment, so we recommend leaving the polypin to settle at least overnight and preferably for 24 hours. If you would like your beer supplied ‘bright’ (no sediment) please let us know before placing your order.
